An unpretentious perennial 100-150 cm high. Motherwort herb is an integral part of many medicinal herbs; the raw materials are leafy flowering tips of shoots 30-40 cm long. They are harvested during the period of mass flowering, in July-August. Medicinal raw materials are leafy flowering shoot tips 30-40 cm long.
“Friend of the heart” motherwort is a good herbal remedy for heart pain, it calms the nervous system, helps fight insomnia, lowers blood pressure and normalizes heart rate, has a beneficial effect on carbohydrate and protein metabolism, and reduces cholesterol levels in the blood. Regular motherwort tea slows down the aging process of the body.
A good honey plant. Motherwort in nature does not form large thickets, reserves of raw materials are depleted, so grow it in your gardens.
Sowing seeds directly into open ground, sowing time is before winter, in late October-early November, or early spring. To ensure uniform germination of seeds and increase their germination during spring sowing, stratification for a month at a temperature of +4+5°C is desirable. It blooms already in the first year of vegetation. It grows in one place for 5-7 years.
